Résumé
Cette plante grasse, semblable à un cactus, ne dépasse pas 15 cm de hauteur et 2–5 cm de diamètre. Les tiges cylindriques, d’un vert foncé marbré de clair, sont épaisses et de section polygonale; elles portent des excroissances aussi charnues que les tiges, de forme conique, terminées en pointe qui représentent les feuilles (photo 9). La plante est dépourvue de poils.
