L’« arbre à soie » ou « pommier de Sodome »10 est un petit arbre de 2 à 4 mètres avec de grandes feuilles presque sessiles opposées, entières, d’un vert glauque, ovales et coriaces, couvertes de poils fins lorsqu’elles sont jeunes (photo 7).
