Luxation des tendons fibulaires

Résumé

La première luxation des tendons fibulaires a été décrite par Monteggia [1] en 1803 chez une danseuse de ballet qui avait présenté une entorse de cheville aux suites difficiles. Le diagnostic de luxation des fibulaires, passée inaperçue, fut établi secondairement. La luxation des tendons fibulaires ne constitue que 0,5% à 1% des traumatismes de la cheville. Cette rareté lésionnelle est probablement proportionnelle à la difficulté du diagnostic initial, souvent méconnu et confondu avec la classique entorse latérale de cheville. Cette pathologie prédomine chez les hommes jeunes avec un pic entre 20 et 25 ans. Le mécanisme classique de luxation est la dorsi-flexion en éversion contrariée, contrairement au mécanisme classique en varus de l’entorse latérale. L’examen clinique est souvent difficile dans un contexte traumatique aigu expliquant le retard diagnostique.
