Résumé
Le rapport de l’organisation mondiale de la santé publié (OMS) en 1998, Obesity: preventing and managing the global epidemic, marque l’émergence de l’obésité dans le champ de la médecine moderne [1]. La place de l’obésité dans la nosographie médicale reste controversée, même si, au cours des dernières années, les données physiopathologiques, cliniques et médico-économiques ont conduit à considérer l’obésité comme une authentique situation pathologique, en tout cas pathogène, voire une authentique maladie.
