La psychiatrie aborde les problèmes de santé mentale en termes de fonctionnement du patient en relation avec son environnement et cette philosophie s’harmonise parfaitement avec l’approche fonctionnelle de la douleur qui sera présentée dans ce chapitre. Les informations que nous résumons dans ce chapitre sont présentées plus en détail dans un autre ouvrage [1].
