Résumé

Chaque année, plus de cinq millions de morsures de serpent surviennent dans le monde, occasionnant près de 130 000 décès, soit un dixième des victimes du paludisme. Il s’agit donc là d’un véritable problème de santé publique, notamment en Afrique sub-saharienne et en Asie du Sud-Est, du reste largement sous-estimé.
