Résumé
L’occlusion par radiofréquence de la grande veine saphène (GVS) appelée aussi système de thermo-ablation segmentaire par sonde ClosureFast™ (CLF) est un traitement endoveineux thermique d’occlusion sélective de la GVS. Il s’agit d’un procédé peu invasif, non douloureux et très efficace permettant une occlusion veineuse dans plus de 97 % des cas. Il s’applique uniquement aux troncs veineux saphènes. Depuis avril 2008, la Haute autorité de santé a émis une recommandation favorable pour utiliser le CLF dans l’occlusion de la GVS entre la jarretière et la jonction saphéno-fémorale.
