Résumé
La sage-femme en salle de naissance a souvent recours à des méthodes non médicamenteuses pour aider les parturientes à appréhender les douleurs liées au travail et soutenir les femmes dans leurs projets de naissance. Un nombre très important de méthodes existent mais seules quelques-unes ont été démontrées comme efficaces dans la littérature internationale. Nous nous sommes intéressés à trois techniques dont l’utilisation est associée à un bénéfice dans la gestion des douleurs liées au travail. Nous décrirons ainsi les résultats d’études portant sur: l’accompagnement continu des femmes pendant le travail, l’immersion dans un bain lors de la première phase de travail et le recours à des injections d’eau stérile.
