Résumé

Nous laissons à présent l’abdomen pour une cible critique chez tout patient lourd: le réseau veineux. Les principales applications sont:

  • l’aide au cathétérisme veineux (le présent chapitre);

  • le diagnostic de l’embolie pulmonaire (chapitre 13);

  • l’évaluation hémodynamique chez le patient critique (chapitre 23).

Les sondes vasculaires ne sont pas totalement adaptées à l’évaluation vasculaire chez les patients critiques.
