Résumé

Le pronostic du cancer de l’oesophage reste mauvais avec une survie globale à cinq ans inférieure à 20 % [1]. La prise en charge médicale des patients est complexe en raison d’une révélation de la maladie le plus souvent à un stade avancé chez des sujets âgés et/ou avec des pathologies sévères associées. Une particularité de ce cancer est la fréquence et l’intensité de la dénutrition au moment du diagnostic. La dénutrition est présente chez environ 80 % des patients et constitue un facteur pronostique majeur quel que soit le stade de la maladie [2]–[4].
