230 Depuis la description historique de Pierre Mollaret et de Maurice Goulon en 1959 sous le terme de «coma dépassé» (1), jusqu’à la dernière réglementation adoptée en France (décret du 2 décembre 1996), la mort encéphalique a fait l’objet d’un grand nombre de débats autant scientifique que philosophique, éthique, religieux ou juridique.
