Résumé
Une rupture secondaire de suture de tendon fléchisseur réalise une complication majeure d’une réparation primitive. Un taux de rupture situé entre 3 et 7 % est habituellement constaté dans la plupart des séries en zones I et II (1). Le chirurgien, le rééducateur et bien entendu le patient doivent garder à l’esprit la possibilité de la survenue d’une rupture à tout moment durant la période de cicatrisation tendineuse, qui s’étale sur 8 à 12 semaines. Le plus souvent cependant, la rupture secondaire survient précocement, dans les trois premières semaines postopératoires, ce qui témoigne surtout d’un problème mécanique plutôt que d’un problème biologique cicatriciel intratendineux (2).
