Résumé
La dénutrition résulte d’un déséquilibre entre les apports et les besoins protéinoénergétiques de l’organisme. Ce déséquilibre entraîne des pertes tissulaires (autocannibalisme) ayant des conséquences fonctionnelles délétères. L’assistance nutritionnelle est une thérapeutique essentielle dans la prise en charge des accidents vasculaires cérébraux (AVC) dès la phase aiguë et pendant toute la réhabilitation. En effet, elle est l’un des déterminants permettant de réduire la survenue de complications, elle permet d’améliorer le degré de récupération et de retarder la survenue du décès.
