Résumé
Le potassium est le cation intracellulaire le plus abondant. Il joue un rôle majeur dans l’excitabilité neuromusculaire et en particulier dans le maintien du potentiel de membrane de repos et le potentiel d’action. La régulation des balances externe et interne du potassium permet le maintien de la kaliémie. La prise en charge des dyskaliémies repose sur une stratégie diagnostique et thérapeutique développée dans ce chapitre.
