Abstrait
Les chutes et les problèmes d’équilibre sont fréquents chez les sujets âgés. En effet, un tiers des sujets de la population communautaire âgés de plus de 65 ans chutent au moins une fois par an. Les chutes surviennent chez près d’un patient sur deux après 80 ans. Un trouble de l’équilibre peut être détecté chez plus de 20 % des sujets âgés de plus de 65 ans et chez 50 % des personnes après 85 ans.
