Abstrait

C’est en 1929 que George Kenneth Mallory et Soma Weiss ont décrit cette lésion hémorragique du cardia, survenant après des efforts de vomissements, et à qui ils laissèrent leurs noms [1,2]. La rencontre entre ces deux hommes ainsi que les conditions de description de cette entité sont floues. En effet, George Kenneth Mallory et Soma Weiss avaient des pôles d’intérêt divergents et même si Weiss a beaucoup publié, ces deux hommes n’ont pas d’autres publications en commun.
