Abstrait
De multiples modèles animaux d’infection intra-abdominale ont été développés depuis la fin du XIX e siècle, avec des objectifs physiopathologiques ou thérapeutiques. Tous ces modèles tentent avec plus ou moins de succès de mimer les infections humaines. Une connaissance de leurs limites est nécessaire pour analyser les résultats présentés dans la littérature.
