Temporal Variability of the Radiation Budget Over the Tibetan Plateau Determined from the Erbe Satellites

Atmospheric Radiation

Abstract

The diurnally varying atmospheric circulation patterns over the Tibetan Plateau both affect and are affected by the radiation budget of the area. The capabilities of the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) satellites and data analysis system for determining diurnal variations of the radiation budget over the Tibetan Plateau are discussed.
