Abstract
In Chapters 6 through 8, we examine the essential steps in object-oriented software development:analysis, design, and implementation. To illustrate the process, we study a relativelysimple example—a piece of software to manage a small library—whose function is limitedto that of lending books to its members, receiving them back, doing the associated operationssuch as querying, registering members, etc., and keeping track of these transactions. In the course of these chapters, we go through the entire process of analysing, designingand implementing this system
