Abstract
In this chapter, we will consider rather common analysis techniques used to process and analyze data before final visualization. The chapter provides a short introduction to all phases of a typical data analysis. The reader will gain insight into how to transform data, reject unnecessary records or add additional information, remove duplicate records, sort data, construct a metadata for fast access to data records and many other common operations. We will also learn how to process data in parallel using multiple processors. All such operations are described using short Jython code snippets.
