Abstract
A european directive (2004/40/EC) regarding the exposure of workers to electromagnetic fields was set for introduction in 2004. This potential legislation would have imposed serious restrictions on working practices in MRI and its introduction has been delayed until 2012 pending a review of more recent findings.
