Abstract

This chapter presents further results for robustness analysis of uncertain systems based on forms. It is shown how the problem of computing the euclidean distance from a point to a surface described by a polynomial equation, can be solved via LMI feasibility tests. This problem has numerous applications in systems and control theory. In this respect, we consider the computation of the l2 parametric stability margin of systems affected by time-invariant uncertainty.
