1. Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy (HO) (acropachy) a. A syndrome characterized by excessive proliferation of skin and bone at the distal parts of the extremities seen in many diverse diseases 2. Connective-tissue abnormalities of HO a. “Clubbing” of fingers and toes i. Most conspicuous feature ii. A bulbous deformity of the tips of the digits iii. Subungual proliferation diminishes the normal nail angle 1. Usually 20° or more with the projected line of the digit
