Patient

This is a 28-year-old, male athlete who was selected in 2003 as a member of the Italian National Rowing Team because of his excellent athletic achievements. Personal history was negative for CV diseases or any cardiac symptoms. He was a non-smoker and he denied use of drugs or medicaments. Family history was positive for systemic hypertension and diabetes, but no history of ischemic heart disease or premature sudden death was reported in close relatives.
