Abstract
Most of the chapters in Section 2 will outline imaging related to a specific clinical scenario. This chapter and the subsequent chapter on “Trauma Imaging” (Chapter 10) will focus on the philosophy behind the imaging strategies. The clinical scenarios chosen to illustrate this are some of the less common indications for embolization and those in which contemporary imaging is of particular benefit and likely to change clinical practice.
