Abstract
In an era of evolving minimally invasive surgical techniques, natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) has emerged as an exciting, innovative, and yet challenging adjunct to laparoscopic surgery. The desire to decrease postoperative morbidity, shorten hospitalizations and convalescence, improve cosmesis, and “push the envelope” continues to drive innovation in the field of minimally invasive surgery.
