Abstract

The paper studies the related theories of the Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS) and its application in automotive electromotor production line. Basing on the modern needs of versatility, various lot-size productions, we designed the structure of RMS, built the hardware and software framework of its control system and then developed the reconfigurable automotive electromotor rotor production line and the reconfigurable assembly line which is suitable to customer-order-driven model in production, to improve the automotive electromotor production line and at the same time meet the customer’s needs in good quality.
