42-year-old male with a heart murmur

Echocardiography was nondiagnostic.

The left ventricular cavity size and wall thickness appear normal, as does the regional and global left ventricular function. The right ventricle is normal as well.

The 3-chamber view demonstrates turbulence in the region of aortic valve, with apparent thickening of the valve leaflets. A small field-of-view cine image through the aortic valve demonstrates a bicuspid configuration of the valve. Although three commisures appear to be present, the valve is bicuspid.
