Abstract
It has been shown in the preceding chapter that even when the existence of solutions to the open-loop optimal control problem P(x0, t0, Tp, τs) is guaranteed, the stability of the resulting closed-loop system has to be carefully investigated. Furthermore, the simple example of a scalar linear system suggests that such investigation is by no mean an easy task.
