Abstract
The basic principles of kidney transplant recipient surgery have remained fairly constant for the past 20 years, and the wide variation in individual surgeon practice speaks to the many routes that can give a solid technical result. The purpose of this chapter is to outline the key principles of the operation and to then articulate a suggested technical approach.
