Abstract
Gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) encompasses a spectrum of proliferative disorders ranging from non-neoplastic hydatidiform moles to neoplastic conditions including the highly malignant gestational choriocarcinoma (CC). Two distinct tumors of the intermediate trophoblasts are very rare, but frequently pose diagnostic difficulties. In addition, two reactive conditions are also included in the classifications of GTDs (Table 8.1).
