Chapter

Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a complex disease that requires the attention of physicians and surgeons from diverse backgrounds. This chapter will focus on the unique contributions of the hepatologist, radiologist, pathologist, medical oncologist, interventional radiologist, transplant surgeon, and the hepatobiliary surgeon. This chapter will conclude by illustrating how careful multidisciplinary care optimizes the long-term outcomes of patients with HCC.
