Abstract

Endocrine tumors in gastrointestinal tract are uncommon yet distinctive lesions. They vary in different locations and are associated with distinct clinical settings. This chapter outlines endocrine tumors from the stomach through to the rectum, including the appendix, and relevant precursor lesions and clinical associations. After each site there is a table provided that will enable the pathologist to provide a framework on which a comment on possible behavior can be gauged.
