Abstract

This chapter will focus on the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of pyelonephritis in children. The consequences of urinary tract infections differ significantly between adults and children. Children appear more prone to renal scarring secondary to kidney infections. As a consequence, current management of pyelonephritis focuses on prompt diagnosis and treatment.
