Abstract

This review of the urologic approach to the child with myelomeningocele from birth to adulthood includes a discussion of prenatal assessment, newborn evaluation and management, treatment of urinary tract infection, vesicoureteral reflux and incontinence, and social implications for helping to mainstream these children into becoming productive members of society.
