Abstract
Intestinal infarction following abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair is lethal. Prevention is the key to combating this complication. It has been shown that heightened vigilance to avert, detect, and intervene early on intestinal ischemia in the setting of AAA repair can decrease the incidence and mortality of this frequently lethal disease.
