Abstract
Sharp force injuries result from contact with sharp-edged or pointed objects. This chapter reviews the three major types of sharp force injury: stab wounds, incised wounds, and chop wounds, and provides further information regarding various miscellaneous topics and issues, including internal examination, mechanism of injury, trace evidence, clothing examination, defensive wounds, and hesitation marks, among others.
