Magnetic Resonance of Cardiomyopathies and Myocarditis

  • Chapter
Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Part of the book series: Contemporary Cardiology ((CONCARD))

Abstract

Cardiomyopathies (CMPs) include dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM), and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) (1). Other forms of acute and chronic nonischemic myocardial diseases have been detected, with stress-induced CMP and noncompaction CMP the most vividly discussed.
