Abstract
A 43-year-old man was brought to the clinic by his spouse. He has had three to four episodes of “fits” that lasted 2–3 minutes. On further questioning, she stated that he developed generalized stiffness with upward eye deviation lasting about 5–10 seconds. Following that, he developed generalized rhythmic contraction of all his extremities with urinary or fecal incontinence. During these episodes, he was unresponsive and it took about 30 to 60 minutes for him to fully recover to normal. Neurological examination was normal.
