Abstract

Although primary bone tumors are relatively rare, they are usually concentrated in and referred to specialized centers that deal with them. Because of this, the general surgical pathologist is generally unfamiliar with these entities, and therefore a perceived increase in difficulty in their diagnosis and classification results.
