Abstract
Consumers have become increasingly interested in obtaining information about the health-related effects of food, and numerous products are promoted on that basis. It has been a challenge for regulatory agencies to implement a framework for labeling that permits the communication of truthful information, yet prevents the dissemination of false or misleading claims that could cause harm.
