Abstract
For the elderly, optimal nutrition goes hand in hand with optimal health, yet many elderly suffer from malnutrition or are at risk of poor nutrition. In the United States and Britain, researchers concluded that up to one third of ambulatory elderly and more than three fourths of homebound elderly are at moderate to high risk of malnutrition (1,2).
