Abstract

Anaplastic carcinoma (undifferentiated carcinoma) is now uncommon, is extremely malignant, and is usually fatal (1–4). The thyroid gland often has been enlarged for years, containing multiple nodules or a low-grade, well-differentiated carcinoma that has grown slowly.
