Abstract

Arrival of a patient with cardiogenic shock in the catheterization laboratory demands urgent attention. Vascular access sites must be evaluated and access obtained. Depending on the severity of the shock, the exact sequence of procedural performance may vary. Some aspects will be performed simultaneously and others sequentially, depending on personnel available and the specific clinical setting.
