Virginian scullcap, mad-dog scullcap, madweed (Scutellaria laterifolia); common scullcap, greater scullcap, helmet flower, toque, hoodwort (Scutellaria galericulata); lesser scullcap (Scutellaria minor) (Grieve, 1971), mad-dog weed (Anonymous, 1993), monkey-flower (Crellin and Philpott, 1990), Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (Tyler, 1993).
