Abstract

Multiorgan transplantation represents the pinnacle of clinical solid-organ transplantation. Successful outcomes depend on a clear understanding of the indications for transplantation, discriminating candidate selection, meticulous preparation, and constant communication among all involved parties as to operative technique and posttransplant care.
