Abstract

As noted in previous chapters, Rorschach findings are very helpful in treatment planning, and they also provide therapeutically rich topics for feedback sessions and therapeutic assessment. This chapter shows how Rorschach assessment can be therapeutic in its own right and can also enrich therapeutic assessment. A standardized–individualized approach to test administration is recommended for making the Rorschach examination a positive experience thereby enhancing its therapeutic benefit. The valuable role of Rorschach findings in therapeutic assessment is illustrated with a case of a 15-year-old boy.
