Abstract

A colleague (Dr. X) participated in a clinical study. His involvement consisted of obtaining informed consent from the patients and collecting data and blood samples from about 1/3 of the 60 patients in the trial. The study was concluded. There were five authors. The draft manuscript was circulated around for all the authors to review. Dr. X strongly disagrees with the way the methodology section was written. He stated that the study was not randomized. Since the other four think that it was randomized and will not concede, Dr. X withdrew from the authors list.
