Abstract
Many adult addiction and chronic illnesses were initiated in their teenage period. To prevent adolescents from substance abuse should be everyone’s responsibility. In spite of parents, teachers, school authority, and government have taken significant efforts in preventing children and teenagers from substance abuse, media has received significant contribution to attract children and teenagers trying various legal substances e.g. tobacco, alcohol, and prescription medications. Parents, teachers, physicians, and school authorities should serve as role models, give guidance and actively participate their children’s lives to prevent them from trying substances in young ages.
