Abstract
Pharmacological, psychological, and acupuncture treatments have been used to help adolescences become a recovering addict. It is important to encourage and support substance abuse adolescences seeking treatment followed by preventing any recovering teenage addict from relapse. Acupuncture is a simply and low risk intervention that has been used as part of the treatment for withdrawal symptoms. Although the data from acupuncture clinical trials indicating there are no differences between true and sham acupuncture, it has been used in clinical setting with great success. Acupuncture, e.g., NADA auricular detoxification protocol can be easily done individually or in a group therapy session.
